Went to the Old School Car show in the LBC..
Really great to see people keeping up the Japanese Classics. It seems not many people pay attention to those lovely cars these days. Saw good ole Antonio there from Cipher Garage, Jerry from Pac Rim and Ken Miyoshi from the Import Showoffs fame. I haven't seen those fools in ages! Bunch of great rides there, from Honda Roadsters, Z's, 510/Bluebirds, Fairlady Roadsters, all the RX series of the Mazdas. John would have cried if he saw the sweet as R100 as I was leaving the venue.
Took some pix, not many, I got lazy. Managed to snap a few shots of my dream car. The guy is fronting with the GTR badges as it's clearly a GTS, but still got to give him some crazy love as he's probably only one in a few that has that car landed here in the states. It's a 70's Nissan Skyline GTS/GTR, AKA "Hakosuka"! Hopefully one day.....
Anyways, here's some pix I snapped, oh and one in there of my the rear swing arm, before I took a BFH to it and cracked the drum into 4. Got some welding done on the pickup, right until I ran out of gas and had to stop for the day. This weekend, hopefully I'll get a little more welding done.
Oh almost forgot, clever engine swap, but not one I think was worthwile, although it probably sounds mean as hell...13B Rotary in a Datsun Z...to each his own. Oh and the other swap which I thought was very interesting, a Honda S2000 Engine (or it looks like) in a Toyota Celica... I guess..again, each his own.
And that purple thing? I'm gonna guess on the year, but 1973 Mazda Rx3...I've owned one before....fun fun cars.
That's all for now..
