She's back!

went over to Marty's with John yesterday, looked her over, and called navarros for a pickup. I'm happy with the work marty did, he did everything i've asked and more. same tow truck driver as last time, haha, and he actually remembered me and the mini. now that i have the pickup back, it's time to look it over, see what i need to replace/refurbish. i know i'll have a long ass list. i guess the fun and misery starts now. my goal is december, but we'll see how i do. hopefully i won't lose steam and give up on the pickup.

jill bought the vans warped tour cd, on it there's an acoustic version of "everchanging" by rise against. damn, good song, it was cool to hear him play it live, and now to have it on cd is even better. i still need to buy my santa cruz social d tix, i should do that this week, and buy my flight at the same time. pix to come of martys work on the truck!

Wires Wires Wires, headaches for days

Sitting online, trying to find how to adapt a universal harness into the mini one, while trying to still use the stock ignition key. wow, it's confusing.

Had some more ideas on seats while i was doing my search though. I think rick's seats are the hotness. I'll have to find my camera wire and upload some pics.

New Items I need
Universal Harness
Some rustoleum semi gloss paint. (black) for the subframes and little stuff
Undercoat paint
satin black or semi gloss paint to paint the interior
probably front/rear glass window seals, along with chrome locking strip
some fiberboard/cardboard, something stiff to make door cards
varnish to redo the rokee dash

Sell off some of the stuff i'm not gonna use. Need to replenish some funds for this damn truck.

5 more days till my baby is home, so I can start getting some ideas off paper/net and onto the pickup!

Oh, and great news, my pickup will be back from Marty's next weekend.

I've got my summer cut out for me to get my pickup back on the road for December!

Viva Las Vegas

ok, so vegas was fun as hell. got there 2am, went straight to get efong, went out to downtown to play and get drunk. got back to the hotel bout 730ish, went to catch a nap, woke up at 11, and played angel park. kinda bummed i didn't break 90, but hittin 90 wasn't all too bad, with the amount of sleep we got. Feel bad we made kazu drive home, hahaha, sorry hoto.

today, played some baseball for the 1st time in years, holy hell do i suck.

Ok, so back to my mini, thing i gotta do this week is find a sand blasting joint and a place that does re-chrome. I outta send out the grill and upper grill lip, or should i just wait till i find the baby moons and a new front bumper. might be a better idea so i can't send it off all at once.

long ass weekend, had a blast, drank a bit, and gambled a bit. not too shabby.

So there it is. This of course isn't my pickup, but that's what a mini pickup looks like. I'll have to scan the photoshop/pen job of how I want my pickup to look and post it up.

So to shy away from my mini for a sec. I was talking with a friend the other day, and she was saying how music to her was therapeutic. I was thinking about that today on my drive home, and you know what I gotta agree with her. Blasting some Social D or some Rise Against after feeling all shitty makes everything all normal again. That and a good long drive in a fun car...

Which brings me back to my mini. Dammit, get off your ass and finish the mini. Finishing it will help me get on, make me all happy again, just cruzin around in it will make my day.

Oh yea, tomorrows 6606. Time to go hang out with the crazies. Wait...come to think of it, I'll be at the gunclub tomorrow...dammit, no one better come in with some half ass idea bout ending their lives.

Ok, so after going to the mini mini show yesterday in Arcadia with the fools, here's some ideas:

stock 3.5" steelies painted red, if I can't get ahold of some cooper reverse wheels.
exhaust, side exit might be hotter than center exit on a LWB.
black doorpanels/carpet/possibly some red seats. Will have to draw this out to get some sorta idea.
Ditch the CF look dash, go more light colored wood.

Overall- Keep the Socal hot/rat rod theme on the pickup.
